Profile / Experience
I am a Caseworker in the Housing Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. I currently work under the supervision of Housing Director, Dianne Cowie. I joined Duncan Lewis in October 2018.
My role involves assisting the solicitors and trainee solicitors in my team with the day-to-day case progression and client or third party correspondence on a number of housing law matters such as disrepair, possession and homelessness matters.
Before joining Duncan Lewis, I studied the Legal Practice Course full time at the University of Law. I studied Immigration, Family, Personal Injury and Employment law as my electives on the course.
Whilst studying the Graduate Diploma in Law, I volunteered at the South West London Law Centres as a Debt Adviser for a year. I assisted clients on applications for Universal Credit and assisted a caseworker in applications for grants from the Thames Water Trust Fund. I also made appeals to the Valuation Tribunal regarding Council Tax reduction. At the end of 2016, I volunteered in the Public Law and Immigration department at Duncan Lewis and assisted caseworkers.
