I am an experienced duty solicitor and qualified Higher Court Advocate. My main specialism is extradition and I have successfully litigated and advocated in a number of requests from a number of jurisdictions, handling requests under both parts of the Extradition Act 2003.
In extradition, I have had a number of notable successes in cases involving complex and difficult legal arguments, have negotiated sentence transfers from other jurisdictions to the UK, and have prepared cases involving multi-faceted legal arguments and numerous expert witnesses. I have dealt with a number of requests in which the matter has been discharged in the magistrates court, and have successfully dealt with cases in which warrants have been compromised due to the underlying proceedings being resolved.
I have progressed a number of matters through the upper courts to judicial review. I regularly appear as an advocate for full extradition hearings, for trials in the magistrates court, and in the crown court. I represent vulnerable individuals to busy professionals. I have originally trained at Duncan Lewis and completed my training contract in 2018 during which I specialised in fraud, extradition and Proceeds of Crime. I believe a client-focused empathetic approach is the key to success.
