Childcare and Family Solicitor Sapphire Stait has set up a free legal advice clinic at the Birmingham Freedom Project, providing legal advice on family and childcare matters to those women who have been affected by domestic abuse.
Sapphire established the clinic in May 2017 and has been running it for over a year. She provides legal advice on a wide range of childcare and family matters. This includes, but is not limited to; social services involvement; emergency injunctions; occupation orders; child arrangement orders (contact and residence); and divorce and finances. If legal advice is required in a different area of law then Sapphire refers them to another solicitor in the appropriate department ensuring they obtain the correct advice.
The Birmingham Freedom Project delivers a range of awareness and empowerment programmes for women affected by domestic abuse. The programmes are run by two female facilitators with many years’ experience in supporting women affected by domestic abuse.
Sapphire is passionate about helping people who have suffered domestic violence and provides her legal advice on a pro bono basis. She believes it is important to volunteer her legal services to those in need, feeling privileged to be in a position where she can offer her legal acumen to those who need it. The clinic has been extremely successful and Sapphire has helped a large number of women as a result.
The clinic takes place on the first Thursday of each month from 12.00pm until 5.00pm.
To arrange an appointment at the clinic please contact Sapphire Stait on firstname.lastname@example.org or 020 7275 2808.
