The London Assembly (LA) Planning Committee is meeting on Wednesday (29/06/16) to consider a review of the current London Plan on housing in the capital.
Former London Mayor Boris Johnson indicated that the current London Plan was in need of major review and replacement, to reflect the challenges posed by London’s population growth.
The newly elected Mayor Sadiq Khan’s team will consider how to amend the London Plan n housing, to ensure that it not only reflects national policy trends, but is based on evidence based analysis.
The London Plan is the spatial development strategy for London and sets out an integrated economic, environmental, transport and social framework for the development of London over the next 20-25 years.
