Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council in Leicestershire is holding a free event to mark World Mental Health Day today (10/10/16).
The event at the library in Earl Shilton will enable the public to find out more about looking after their mental health and wellbeing.
There will be information stalls from Samaritans, Richmond Fellowship, Go Getta, Turning Point and Xenzone, with professionals and volunteers on hand to answer any questions or to chat to in a confidential space.
The event has been organised by Changing Minds, which is a partnership of several organisations concerned with health and wellbeing – and is led by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council.
Councillor Amanda Wright, the Borough Council's Health Champion, said:
“Mental health conditions are common and affect many, many people within our communities – such conditions do not exist in isolation and they impact on every aspect of a person’s life.”
