Profile / Experience
I am a Solicitor in the Public Law department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors.
I am based in the City of London office and work under the supervision of Director Toufique Hossain. I work on a range of public law cases both domestically and internationally, focused on securing and protecting the rights of asylum-seekers, unaccompanied minors, victims of trafficking and other forcibly displaced individuals.
Since joining Duncan Lewis in September 2023, I have worked on a number of high profile Judicial Review claims and European Court cases, including challenges to the unlawful detention of adult and child asylum-seekers on the British Indian Ocean Territories and the Spanish government's failure to comply with their international obligations to victims of trafficking.
I have previously worked at NGOs supporting civil society and refugee-led organisations, and providing legal assistance to asylum-seekers in other jurisdictions.

Career
- Prior to joining Duncan Lewis, I worked in access to justice at PILnet (Public Interest Law Network) where I connected NGOs operating in the refugee response sector with pro bono legal assistance and developed a Fellowship program for persons with lived experience of displacement to join the team
- I also have experience at a number of international non-profits, including Human Rights Watch and Mina’s List. At the latter, I directly assisted asylum-seekers with their asylum applications outside of the UK
