I am a Caseworker in the Immigration Department at Duncan Lewis. I assist solicitors and clients on a wide spectrum of immigration, public and human rights matters. This includes asylum matters, modern slavery and trafficking, human rights, detention, bail, deportation and removal cases. I work under the direct supervision of Director Savitr Sahota. I am currently working towards obtaining my Immigration and Asylum Law Accreditation, further strengthening my professional capabilities and enabling me to deliver an even higher standard of legal assistance to those I support.
I have a solid background in human rights and private immigration matters. I have successfully assisted clients with a range of applications, including those under Appendix FM, applications for leave to remain, spouse visas, entry clearance, indefinite leave to remain applications and naturalisation to obtain British Citizenship. Through this work, I have gained in-depth experience in understanding and navigating the complexities of the immigration routes and their requirements. I have developed strong skills in drafting legal documents, preparing detailed representations and case preparation, which have enhanced my ability to deliver high standards of client care to each and every client.
I approach every matter with determination and a steadfast commitment to securing the best possible outcome for my clients. My passion for immigration law is driven by my commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals and ensuring that everyone has access to justice, protection and fair representation. I am continually developing my expertise within immigration, human rights and public law, striving to deliver work of the highest quality and to advocate for those who rely on the safeguards of the legal system.
I am fluent in English and Sinhalese.
