Profile / Experience
I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Family & Child Care Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. I joined Duncan Lewis in December 2019 and I have taken instructions on wide range of private law and public law children matters. I also represent clients at the Pre-Proceedings stage and have a good understanding of Care Proceedings.
I have extensive experience in representing vulnerable clients including those who have been victim of domestic abuse, those suffering from mental health issues, learning difficulties and those with drug and alcohol issues.
I hold experience in domestic violence work and undertake instructions on applications for individuals for protective Non Molestation Orders and Occupations Orders, often acting on an emergency basis. I also undertake pro bono work and provide legal advice to the Latin American Woman’s Right Services (LAWRS) and I am involved with free legal surgeries set up by my supervisor.
Prior to joining Duncan Lewis Solicitors, I obtained considerable experience working in a child law specialist firm where I represented parents at the Pre-Proceedings stage across Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire and assisted in representing parents and Children’s Guardians in Care Proceedings.
I also gained considerable experience assisting in all aspects of private family law matters including divorce & financial settlements, prenuptial, postnuptial and separation agreements.
