I am a Supervising Solicitor in the Duncan Lewis Solicitors Birmingham office specialising in Private Children Law, Finances, Divorce and Domestic Abuse. I deal with cases that are both privately and publicly funded by way of legal aid.
Since 2020 (having qualified in 2022) I have assisted with Private Children Law cases, offering practical advice to parents who are seeking to resolve arrangements for their children. I have experience in dealing with child arrangements orders, specific issues orders and prohibited steps orders. I help parents to try and reach a mutual agreement regarding child arrangements. In circumstances where Court proceedings are necessary, I work closely with my clients to achieve an outcome that is within the best interests of the child.
I also have experience with private divorce and financial matters particularly practical aspects and the division of assets following breakdowns of marriages. I recognise the importance of multi-disciplinary working and being able to identify when the instruction of experts is necessary.
I help parents to resolve their family matters amicably and cost-effectively whilst ensuring the best outcomes for them. I take pride in conducting my cases with a sensitive approach in order to help resolve disputes and achieve the best possible outcome for clients. At the same time, I like to ensure each client is aware of the possible outcomes to their case as soon as reasonably possible.
Where possible, I undertake my own advocacy for clients, this offers them both consistency and continuity as I can be more involved in their case from the start and am a constant link with the client and with the case.
I am also available to take instructions in Punjabi.
