Profile / Experience
I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Family and Child Care department. I joined Duncan Lewis as a Caseworker in 2014 and, since this time, have worked on a variety of children, family and domestic abuse matters. I frequently represent parents whose children are subject to proceedings or the pre-proceedings process involving the local authority. I am an experienced and capable advocate, having also trained as a barrister, and regularly represent my clients in court.
I have significant experience in working with vulnerable clients, including those with learning difficulties and those who have been victims of abuse. I am empathetic and understanding and always work with my clients to understand their needs fully in order to represent their interests effectively. I also undertake pro bono work with Women's Aid assisting victims of domestic abuse. I have trained and practised as community mediator.
I have worked on many cases with an international element, including urgent wardship application and child abduction matters. I am willing and able to work effectively under extreme pressure to secure the best outcome for my clients, even in an emergency.
