Jana Derska

I am a newly qualified solicitor in the child care department. I joined Duncan Lewis in June 2025 and I am based in the City of London office.

I act in public and private children law matters, including assisting vulnerable clients, those with learning difficulties, substance and alcohol misuse and victims of domestic abuse.

The matters I can be instructed on include:

• Child Arrangements Orders (child arrangements orders, prohibited steps orders, specific issue orders, including leave to remove ‘relocation’ applications)
• Occupation Orders
• Non-molestation Orders
• Care proceedings

I also have prior experience representing clients in wardship and child abduction (Hague and Non-Hague Convention countries) cases. I am a native speaker of Bulgarian and Polish and am also able to take instructions from clients in French and Spanish.
