Public Law Solicitor Jamie Bell has written an important article for the legal platform Free Movement on a landmark High Court judgment concerning systemic safeguarding failures at Brook House Immigration Removal Centre.

 

Jamie’s piece examines the judgment in AH and IS v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2025] EWHC 3269 (Admin), where the Court held that the Home Office unlawfully failed to protect vulnerable detainees from inhuman treatment by operating a deficient Rule 35 system.
