The Duncan Lewis Solicitors Luton team has been proudly featured in both Luton Today and London Daily News for their role in the Christmas Giving Tree initiative, organised in collaboration with AW House. This heart-warming project, which aims to support mothers and children living in local refuges, highlights the true community spirit of Luton.
The Giving Tree initiative, spearheaded by Sophie Rayment of Duncan Lewis and Tanya Allen of AW House, provides vital support to families fleeing domestic abuse. Often arriving with little or no belongings, these families receive much-needed care and festive cheer through the campaign. The Giving Tree has become an annual cross-community effort, bringing together contributions from AW House tenants, employees, and local businesses to make Christmas a brighter time for families in need.
This year’s initiative focused on collecting donations for two local charities, MK ACT and Luton Women’s Aid. The overwhelming generosity of the community resulted in hundreds of carefully curated gift bags and 45 Christmas Eve boxes filled with hot chocolate, candy canes, and other festive treats.
Sophie Rayment, Director at Duncan Lewis Solicitors, shared her thoughts on the collaboration: "We are delighted to have worked alongside AW House on such a meaningful project for two charities that Duncan Lewis have worked with for over 10 years providing legal advice for victims of domestic abuse. We have built up strong relationships with these charities and wished to make their Christmas”
This feature underscores the power of community collaboration and Duncan Lewis’s dedication to supporting those in need, not just during the festive season but throughout the year.
