I am a Family and Child Care Solicitor in the Birmingham office and was appointed as a Supervisor in August 2022. I joined Duncan Lewis Solicitors in April 2016 and have excelled both personally and professionally.

I regularly take instructions from parties, but not limited to, for the following;

- International child abduction
- Wardship proceedings

I undertake my own advocacy, representing clients at the family court before district judges, circuit judges and the magistrates in order to provide consistency to those I represent. However, subject to the complexity of cases and issues we are faced with I instruct Counsel and seek advice where needed, in order to attain the best possible outcome for my clients.

I have a great deal of experience in representing clients who have unfortunately found themselves subject to issues surrounding child abduction. I am well aware that being involved in such difficulties can of course be stressful and challenging for all and so I pride myself in being able to do my best to explore all possible avenues in order to resolve the issues in hand, whilst providing realistic advice.

I have successfully assisted and represented clients in seeking orders for the immediate return of children who have been removed from the jurisdiction unlawfully. Achieving successful outcomes is not only a relief for those I represent, but also a huge accomplishment for me professionally, which I am immensely proud of.

I have a great deal of experience in assisting sensitive and vulnerable clients, as well as those suffering from psychological and mental health difficulties. I am able to identify any support mechanisms that may assist my clients, right from the outset, to ensure fair participation in Court proceedings. Attending pro bono surgeries has enabled me to further enhance my expertise in representing vulnerable clients and advising them, showing my commitment towards helping those in need.

Instructing Solicitors can be a costly process, however I ensure to explore the possibility of legal aid with all those who instruct me.
