I am a caseworker in the Action Against Public Authorities Department. My aim is to hold public authorities accountable and to assist clients who find themselves in intimidating and vulnerable situations.
I assist on a variety of matters relating to actions against public authorities. My work is to act for clients who seek to bring complaints and claims against the police, prisons and detention services, as well as providing assistance to bereaved persons in inquest proceedings.
In 2019 I completed my law degree at SOAS University of London where I developed a wide knowledge in the area of human rights. I also have experience of volunteering and working in the pro bono legal sector, involving assisting litigants in person who were facing court proceedings without legal representation. I have also helped to set up a welfare benefits project at a law centre, assisting people in an area of law in which legal aid is not always available.
I first joined Duncan Lewis’s Action Against Public Authorities Department in 2019. In 2021 I began working as a paralegal with a data rights agency, where I gained valuable experience in data and human rights. I re-joined Duncan Lewis in early 2022.
I am originally from Sweden and, as such, I am also fluent in Swedish.
