Profile / Experience

I am a Solicitor in the Employment department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors.

I have extensive experience in acting for both claimants and respondents in a wide range of employment law matters which include instances of unfair dismissal, cases involving allegations of discrimination, unlawful deductions from wages, appeals and grievance procedures, and breaches of part time work regulations.

I also assist clients by drafting and advising on Settlement Agreements (formally known as Compromise Agreements) and drafting contracts of employment and staff handbooks.

Civil Court
  • Bangs v Connex - The failure of a tribunal to promulgate its decision was a matter of fact not of law, and could not therefore itself be a ground of appeal to the EAT.
  • Sian v Abbey National - Case regarding time limits for appeal to the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
  • Wilson v Post Office - Concerned the reason given by a Respondent for the dismissal of an employee and whether an Employment Tribunal could substitute its own reason.
