Profile / Experience
I am a Solicitor in the Public Law and Immigration Department at Duncan Lewis.
I act for both privately funded and publicly funded (legal aid) clients that require advice and assistance across a broad spectrum of asylum, immigration, EU, human rights and nationality matters. I have significant experience dealing with vulnerable clients including those in detention, those suffering from complex psychological issues and victims of torture and trafficking. I have a particular specialism in challenging the detention of vulnerable clients, by way of judicial review to the High Court, and have achieved success securing their release from detention. I regularly represent clients at the First and Upper Tier Tribunal of the Immigration Asylum Chamber in immigration appeals and immigration bail hearings.
I am accredited by the Law Society as a Senior Caseworker (Level 2) of the Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme, this means I have demonstrated the required level of expertise and experience in this area of law as defined by the Law Society.
