Profile / Experience
I am a Caseworker in the Immigration department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors, working in the Harrow office under the supervision of director Zofia Duszynska.
My role involves assisting the team of immigration caseworkers, trainees, and solicitors with the daily case preparations and client correspondence on a wide variety of immigration matters including asylum applications, bail applications, and matters involving human rights. I assist clients on both a private and publicly funded basis.
Thanks to previously working at the Hammersmith and Fulham Law Centre, I have extensive experience working with victims of trafficking, women who have suffered domestic violence, refugees, and asylum seekers. I also worked alongside the charitable organisations; Refugees Welcome, Hibiscus and the Southall Black Sisters. I have also volunteered at the National Centre for Domestic Violence, where I helped victims gain access to justice by drafting their witness statements and helping them to obtain non-molestation and occupation orders on a pro bono basis.
I previously worked as a Telephone Assessor at the Citizens Advice Bureau, and I have also helped members of the public gain access to free legal advice on a variety of issues including welfare benefits and immigration.
