Profile / Experience
I am a Solicitor in the Mental Health Department at the Duncan Lewis. I am based in the firm's Luton office and work alongside a team of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers in the mental health department under the supervision of Director, Rachel Caswell.
I am experienced in all aspects of the mental health law, regularly representing clients detained under the Mental Health Act. I represent clients in Care Programme Approach meetings, Mental Health Tribunals and at Hospital Managers' Hearings.
I have a passion for Legal Aid work and am a strong believer in equal access to justice for everyone in society. During my spare time I coordinate an Appropriate Adult Service for a mental health charity, representing vulnerable adults that have been taken into police custody. I also has a keen interest in miscarriages of justice and was previously involved in the Innocence Network, working to overturn miscarriages of justice.
