I am a Caseworker in the Public Law department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors, working under the supervision of director Toufique Hossain. I am based in the Manchester office. I joined Duncan Lewis in August 2021 and have experience handling publicly funded caes.
I have worked on a number of high profile cases and wider systemic legal challenges including the challenge to the lawfulness of Manston House Short Term Holding Facility and a challenge to the Reasonable Grounds decision threshold, which resulted in the Secretary of State removing the requirement for objective evidence at the reasonable grounds stage.
I have experience representing vulnerable clients including detained clients, victims of torture, victims of trafficking and modern slavery, and have also worked on a number of resettlement cases.
I am a Law Society Level 2 Accreddited Senior Immigration Caseworker.
I am particularly interested in public, immigration and human rights law.
