I am a Solicitor in the Public Law department of Duncan Lewis Solicitors, working under the supervision of Director Toufique Hossain. I am based in the Manchester office. I joined Duncan Lewis as a Caseworker in August 2021 and have extensive experience representing vulnerable clients including asylum seekers, detained individuals, victims of torture and victims of trafficking and modern slavery.
I have worked on a number of high profile cases and wider systemic challenges including a challenge to the lawfulness of mass detaining asylum seekers at Manston House Short Term Holding Facility beyond the Statutory limits; a challenge to the Reasonable Grounds decision threshold, which resulted in the Secretary of State removing the requirement for objective evidence at the reasonable grounds stage for potential victims of trafficking and modern slavery; the Cranston Inquiry; and the Manston House Group False Imprisonment Claim.
I am a Law Society Level 2 Accredited Senior Immigration Caseworker.
I am particularly interested in Public Law with expertise in Immigration, Judicial Review and Human Rights based challenges.
