I am a Solicitor in the Family and Child Care department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. I joined in April 2019 and am based in the Shepherd’s Bush office. I work in a team of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers under the supervision of childcare director, Sophie Fretten.
I have experience dealing with Private Children and Public Law Proceedings. I undertake both publicly and privately funded work. My expertise in Public Law includes representing clients in care proceedings, Child Protection Conferences and PLO Outlines. I have experience assisting vulnerable clients with learning difficulties, substance and alcohol misuse and those who have been victims of domestic abuse. I have also assisted in child care cases representing parents in cases concerning emotional abuse, physical neglect and sexual abuse.
I have existing experience in child care proceedings from my time working at Surrey County Council where I worked with a team of solicitors, social workers and court staff preparing hearing bundles. As a result, I can expertly manage a caseload and have experience using the Family Court’s Digital Case System. I represent individuals in regard to private children matters, including Child Arrangement Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders. I also have experience representing Applicants and Respondents to Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders.
I have assisted a number of clients who have been victims of domestic violence and regularly provide a pro bono legal advice service for the Latin American Women’s Rights Services (LAWRS) and other charities.
