I am a Public Law Solicitor at Duncan Lewis Solicitors based in the City of London office. I act in publicly funded cases and have extensive experience navigating legal aid. Prior to my training contract, I was responsible for securing funding for high-cost cases from the legal aid agency.
I have been instructed in a wide variety of complex public law matters, including human rights claims, judicial reviews, removals, unlawful detention, further submissions and asylum. Due to the nature of these cases, I am very experienced in assisting vulnerable clients with complex psychological issues, victims of torture, victims of trafficking and those in custody including in prison and immigration detention centres. I am committed to supporting my clients throughout their cases and prioritise clear communication as navigating the judicial system can be confusing and distressful.
I am accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS). This means that I have demonstrated the required level of expertise and knowledge in this area of law as required by the Law Society.
