Profile / Experience
I am a Caseworker working in the Immigration department in Duncan Lewis' Swansea branch. I assist director Vinita Templeton, handling immigration and asylum matters, including requests for exceptional case funding for family reunion matters and asylum applications.
Prior to working at Duncan Lewis, I worked as a legal caseworker in Lesvos, Greece, where I developed experience in assisting asylum applicants with their preparation prior to their substantive interview. I achieved a successful outcome for a number of clients by submitting an interim measures application to the European Court of Human Rights.
In addition to this, I worked previously for the Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling Section of the United Nations. Whilst at university, I wrote a bachelor thesis on the legal avenues available for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children with family in the United Kingdom. I am interested in family reunification rights and issues relating to modern slavery.
I speak German and Spanish to a competent level and can communicate in Dutch, French and Welsh.
