I currently work as a Caseworker within the Immigration department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors in the City of London office, assisting on a broad range of immigration and asylum matters, under the guidance of Director Nazia Khan and Solicitor Raman Kumar.
My role allows me to build on and deepen my previous experience as an immigration paralegal. It involves supporting clients through legal aid-funded cases as well as privately instructed matters. I assist my team with the daily progression of cases and applications on a range of immigration matters, with the skills I have developed from my previous role.
In my previous role, I assisted my team in private immigration cases such as under Appendix FM, family reunion cases, ILR, spouse visa applications, entry clearances, asylum, naturalisation and obtaining a British passport.
I contributed to my community as a volunteer with Citizens Advice, supporting asylum seekers with a broad range of issues.
I obtained an LLB in Law from Iran and subsequently completed the GDL course at the University of Law, London.
I have a deep passion for immigration law and human rights, exploring and understanding cultures and engaging with the latest news and changes internationally.
I am fluent in English and Farsi, which helps me assist my clients comfortably.
