I am a Consultant Solicitor in the Immigration department at Duncan Lewis. Having been qualified now for over six years, I have gained experience in a wide variety of complex cases of different areas within immigration.
I am experienced and willing to act under extreme time pressures to ensure that justice is achieved for my clients. I have also practised as a housing and family solicitor within my six years as a solicitor, which I feel has assisted me greatly in understanding the vulnerability of clients.
I regularly represent individuals seeking to make initial claims for asylum and applications under the domestic violence concession, in addition to conducting appeals against adverse decisions to the First-Tier/Upper Tribunal.
I further have significant experience dealing with clients in detention, those claiming asylum, bail and those who have psychological issues including victims of torture and trafficking. I have been an important part of the legal team that has embarked upon a series of judicial review claims challenging the Detained Fast Track scheme.
I am accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, permitting me to assist a far-reaching range of clients.
