Profile / Experience
I am a Caseworker in the Family and Childcare department at Duncan Lewis. I joined in April 2019 and am based in the Shepherd’s Bush office. I work in a team of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers under the supervision of childcare director, Sophie Fretten.
My role as a caseworker involves assisting the team with the daily progression of cases, as well as handling both client and third-party correspondence on a variety of childcare and family related matters. These matters include care proceedings, special guardianship orders and placement orders. Many of the clients I assist are vulnerable individuals and include those with psychological issues or victims of domestic violence.
I have existing experience in child care proceedings from my time working at Surrey County Council where I worked with a team of solicitors, social workers, and court staff preparing hearing bundles. As a result, I can expertly manage a caseload and have experience using the Family Court’s Digital Case System. I also provided business support and joined the Lexcel team which allowed me to gain an understanding of the expectations of solicitors in order to ensure compliance.
