Profile / Experience
I am a Lawyer within the Public Law Department at Duncan Lewis. I work with a team of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers under the direct supervision of Public Law Director Toufique Hossain. I have experience handling a wide range of immigration, asylum and human rights matters.
I assist on a variety of publicly funded judicial review matters, including challenges to decisions of the Secretary of State for the Home Department to unlawfully detain and remove Claimants, and in cases being heard before the Upper Tribunal of the Immigration Asylum Chamber (IAC), the High Court and the Court of Appeal. I work on cases that challenge removals to European Countries under the Dublin Regulation, and cases challenging the lawfulness and conditions of immigration detention.
Many of the clients I assist are extremely vulnerable, often victims of torture or trafficking and I aim to ensure they receive the best possible outcomes in their cases.
