Profile / Experience
I am a Caseworker in the Immigration and Public Law Department at Duncan Lewis.
I am based in the New Cross Gate office and work with a team of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers assisting with the day to day case progression of a broad range of asylum, immigration, EU and human rights claims, from initial interviews/applications to appeals, fresh claims and challenges by way of judicial review.
I have worked on a number of complex cases involving challenging immigration decisions in relation to certification, refusal to view representations as a fresh claim, and removals from the UK. I also have experience working with clients is in detention and facing imminent deportation, cases where the client has suffered mental health issues, as well as those who have been exploited on their journey to the UK or once they have entered the UK. I mainly act in publicly funded (legal aid) matters assisting vulnerable clients, but also assist in privately funded matters.
