Ellen McCormack

I am a solicitor in the Immigration Department, based in the City of London office.

My work involves assisting in a variety of immigration, asylum and human rights matters; in particular asylum appeals, bail applications, challenging deportation orders and revocation of refugee status, leave to remain applications, and judicial review matters. I have an enhanced DBS check which enables me to deal with unaccompanied asylum seeker minors, and I have a lot of experience working with UASC on their asylum matters and judicial review claims.

I have obtained my Level 2 Immigration and Asylum accreditation which means that I have demonstrated the required level of competency and knowledge in this area of law as defined by the Law Society.

I mainly act in publicly funded (legal aid) matters assisting vulnerable clients, but also assist in privately funded matters.
