Profile / Experience
I joined as a Paralegal (Caseworker) in the Family department at Duncan Lewis' Birmingham office in October 2025. My role is to assist my team in liaising with some of the most vulnerable clients and ensuring the continued growth of the department, under the supervision of Solicitor Priya Jandu and Director Julie McNamara, whose primary areas of expertise are divorce, private children matters and domestic abuse. I am eager to expand my knowledge and expertise in Family law matters and am committed to supporting clients and helping them secure the most favourable outcome possible.
In addition to my interest in Family law, I am also interested in working closely with individuals and seek to gain wider experience in Public Law, Civil Liberties and Human Rights, Immigration, Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Employment and Crime.
Prior to joining Duncan Lewis, I undertook a variety of legal placements and voluntary work placements, both nationally and abroad. Such experiences include working at an international law firm in Barcelona, Spain and sitting in the Private Client department at Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP. I also worked as both a Refugee Advice volunteer and currently work as an Employment volunteer and translator for my university's law clinic, where I have had the opportunity to support a wide range of vulnerable clients with varying needs.
I am comfortable taking instructions, advising and assisting clients both face-to-face and via remote means.
I am fluent in English, French, Spanish and Catalan, with notional competency in Russian and Italian.
Currently, I am preparing to take the SQE examinations and aim to qualify as a Solicitor.
