Profile / Experience
I joined Duncan Lewis in November 2018 and I am currently a trainee solicitor in the Public Law team. I am qualified under the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker.
Since joining, I have worked on a variety of immigration matters, from assisting domestic violence survivors with applications for settlement, to representing clients in their asylum appeals and those making fresh claims. I have focused a large amount of my work on working with victims of trafficking or gender-based violence. More recently, I assisted Detention Action in the Jamaica Charter flight challenge in February 2020, which resulted in the Court of Appeal granting in the claimant’s favour with a last minute reprieve. I also assisted clients abroad in both Lebanon and Turkey with their delayed resettlement applications.
I am currently studying the LLM Legal Practice Course (Solicitors) part-time and am looking at bringing wider international legal challenges here in the UK.
