I am a Consultant Solicitor at Duncan Lewis. I practise in private law Family Law areas, including:
My previous practice has included an international element including collaborating with a Dutch Notaris on a Declaration of Parentage matter, heard before a QC at the High Court of Justice. The Declaration was granted. I am currently developing Court of Protection and Private Client practice.
I was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors on 01.11.2001 and have accrued over fifteen years post qualification experience. I am experienced in practising in ethnically and culturally diverse areas of London including: Blackheath, Woolwich, Catford, Deptford, Kennington, and Kent (Chatham and Bexleyheath).
I also undertake pro bono work as a Case Worker (Generalist Adviser) at Citizens Advice, Camden at the service's dedicated office located at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children. In this role, I support the parents and families of sick children, advising and assisting on a range of issues: welfare benefits, challenging benefits decisions, housing, employment, consumer, and debt.
For two years from 2011 until 2013 I embarked on a two year sabbatical working as a clinical assistant at Guy's and St Thomas' Foundation Trust on the acute Cardiac Surgery Ward. This diversification not only provided me with invaluable clinical experience but also gave me an insight into the legal issues surrounding both inpatient and community based healthcare, supporting my interest in Court of Protection practice.
