I am a Caseworker in the Housing Litigation department at Duncan Lewis.
I specialise in acting for publicly funded (legal aid) tenants across a broad spectrum of housing law issues. I have extensive experience of dealing with legal aid funded cases involving possession proceedings, homelessness, anti-social behaviour and disrepair. I predominantly advise clients from the company’s East London office in Dalston but am available to travel across London if and where it is more convenient for the client.
I previously worked as an advisor on the Civil Legal Advice Helpline, providing remote (non-face to face) legal advice to the public UK-wide on unlawful evictions, harassment, sections 8 and 21 possession procedures and homeless applications.
At Duncan Lewis I participate in a Pro Bono Clinic that provides regular advice to clients in housing law and generic legal issues for which legal aid is no longer available.
Prior to joining Duncan Lewis I worked for Newcastle City Council as a Tenancy Relations Officer dealing with unlawful evictions and landlord harassment cases. I also used to provide advocacy, advice and assistance to clients faced with possession proceedings as a duty advocate at Newcastle County Court.
I am passionate towards helping vulnerable clients and seeking to always achieve the best possible outcome for my clients.
