Profile / Experience
I am a Consultant Solicitor in the Housing Department at Duncan Lewis' Dalston office.
I have significant experience handling a wide range of housing law and property law matters. I have acted for private clients including landlords, letting agents and country estates as well as tenants which mean I have experience in acting for both sides, giving my clients the upper hand when pursuing a claim or defending matters.
I have an ability to deal with complex housing matters and have proven success in acting for clients in respect of housing disrepair, defending introductory tenants from eviction, raising public law and human rights defences, rent arrears claims, succession, anti-social behaviour defences including injunction proceedings, harassment, illegal evictions and leasehold disputes. I have also advised landlords in respect of the above claims and in respect of HMO legislation, deposit protection and tenancy agreements. My clients instruct me because I am tenacious and will not leave any stone unturned to achieve the best outcome for every one of my clients.
I am a keen advocate and have assisted numerous clients under the Housing Court Desks of Basingstoke, Aldershot, Portsmouth, Winchester and Southampton where I have acted throughout my career as duty solicitor. More recently, I managed the Housing Court Desk in Southampton before I joined Duncan Lewis.
