I am a
Caseworker in the Public Law department based at Duncan Lewis' City of London office.
I assist a team of solicitors and caseworkers on the day-to-day handling of cases involving a range of public law matters. Such matters to date have included a challenge to the Secretary of State for the Home Department's Electronic Monitoring Policy on behalf of numerous claimants in the Administrative Court.
In addition, I have expanded my caseload into a false imprisonment matters, fresh asylum claims and appeals, as well as claims for damages in the County Court in relation to Home Office delays and unlawful decisions. I am hoping to continue these developments and to take on more challenges to unlawful acts on both an individual and systemic level.
I work under the supervision of Director,
Ahmed Aydeed, and a range of supervisors across the firm.
Experience:
Prior to joining Duncan Lewis, I read for an LLM degree in public law and volunteered extensively in the non-profit sector. I also worked in a number of pro bono advice centres and legal clinics, including the UCL Integrated Legal Advice Clinic.
Interests:
Outside of work, I enjoy reading contemporary fiction and poetry, spending time with friends and listening to the cricket on the radio.
