Chimere Nwaegbu

I am a Caseworker in the Public Law and Immigration departments based at the City of London office. I help individuals, couples and families establish rights of residence in the UK, including those with challenging circumstances facing the refusal culture.

I have assisted on a variety of immigration law matters, including challenges to decisions of the Secretary of State for the Home Department to unlawfully detain and remove Claimants, and in cases being heard before the First Tier Tribunals and the Upper Tribunal. My experience includes assisting with:

• nationality
• delays and challenges of decisions

I am permitted by the Law Society to assist clients through the Immigration and Asylum Law Senior Caseworker Accreditation.

I joined the Duncan Lewis Solicitors Immigration Law department in July 2021 as a Legal Casework Assistant after completing my law degree at the University of Leicester. I am currently completing the legal practice course to qualify as a solicitor.

I work under the supervision of Solicitor, Kennisia Allen.
