Profile / Experience

I am a Solicitor in the Public Law, Immigration and Civil Liberties and Human Rights departments at Duncan Lewis. I have gained experience in a wide variety of matters concerning asylum, judicial review and applications considered under the Points Based System since I started at Duncan Lewis back in April 2017. I assist and regularly take instructions from clients on a wide range of matters, including on an emergency basis, for clients both in and out of immigration detention centres and from those serving sentences within prison estates across England and Wales.

I entered the legal profession to help the most vulnerable navigate the ever changing immigration and public law system in the UK. I currently operate a wide practice of assisting clients in need of extending their leave to remain and in fighting for clients to regularise their immigration status whether or not they are facing the imminent prospect of removal/deportation.

I regularly represent clients and achieve success in appealing clients' decisions by the Secretary of State of the Home Department before the First-tier and Upper Tribunal Immigration and Asylum Chamber across England and Wales. I never hesitate to explore the possibilities taking matters further and recently achieved success in the Court of Appeal in a complex matter involving a challenge under Article 3 EHCR. I have also represented clients in matters before the European Court of Human Rights. My wide area of practice also includes assisting clients to file judicial review and civil claims at the Royal Courts of Justice with the aim of achieving damages for their unlawful detention/policy breaching conditions experienced in NASS accommodation of NASS support in by the Home Office.

I advocate for clients in hearings before the First and Upper tier Tribunals but also regularly instruct trusted and experienced barristers from renowned chambers in complex cases to ensure the best prospect of ensuring that justice is achieved.

I am proud to be in the position of helping those in need in a firm dedicated to providing clients with professional and consistent representation in complex matters as described, not exhaustively above.
