Profile / Experience
I am a Consultant Solicitor within the Immigration Department at Duncan Lewis. As an experienced advocate I deal with appeals against refusal and administrative review of decisions that refuse applicants the right to enter and stay in the UK.
I have experience in a wide range of immigration related matters including; entry clearance, family reunion, spouse and fiancé visas, family visas, the points based system (PBS) for students and workers, European Economic Area (EEA) and European Common Aviation Area (ECAA), tourist and short stay visas and settlement and naturalisation applications.
I assist clients from a variety of backgrounds, including very vulnerable clients such as those suffering from complex psychological issues and victims of torture and/or trafficking.
I have Level 2 Accreditation from the Law Society's Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme which means I have demonstrated the required level of competence and specialist knowledge in Immigration and Asylum law as defined by the Law Society and enables me to advise and assist both private paying and publicly funded clients.
For those who struggle to communicate in English, I speak fluent Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi and basic Arabic.
