I am a Solicitor in the Housing department at Duncan Lewis' City of London office, working under the supervision of Manjinder Atwal.
Since joining Duncan Lewis in 2019, I have gained a wealth of experience in housing matters including disrepair, possession proceedings, Landlord and Tenant disputes, and homelessness matters.
I take pride in finding creative ways to resolve disputes and achieve the best possible outcome for my clients. Throughout my practice I encourage alternative dispute resolutions throughout proceedings engaging in negotiations and mediations where possible, thus avoiding unnecessary court time and expenses. I have successfully represented vulnerable clients in a variety of severe disrepair claims and counterclaims and have obtained substantial damages.
I have been involved in providing pro bono advice in various housing Pro-Bono clinics. I assist both publicly funded (legal aid) and privately funded clients. I am very experienced at assisting clients obtain legal aid funding for their case (where they are eligible and there are merits) and frequently advise privately-funded clients. If appropriate to do so based on circumstances of the client and case, I am able to consider 'no win no fee' funding arrangements' to fund the legal representation of a legal matter.
I am able to correspond with my clients in any manner that suits client's needs. I have extensive experience in dealing with vulnerable clients of all nationalities and all walks of life, including those suffering from complex psychological issues and victims of torture and trafficking.
