I am a Solicitor in the Housing department at Duncan Lewis. I also have experience in the Court of Protection department here. I work under the supervision of Director Bernadette Chikwe, and I am based in the City of London office.
My main areas of practice are possession, disrepair and homelessness. I have helped clients to defend possession claims, challenge intentionally homeless decisions and to be rehoused following suitability reviews. I also represented Defendants in the County Court as the Duty Solicitor.
I have experience in mental capacity litigation in the Court of Protection. I have experience in taking instructions from adults and young people with disabilities and physical and mental health difficulties. I have also assisted colleagues on public law cases concerning statutory appeals and education law.
Prior to joining Duncan Lewis, I worked in education law, and I have experience representing parents and young people in the Special Educational Needs and Disability division of the First Tier Tribunal on refusals to assess/issue Education, Health and Care Plans, as well as appeals against the content of Education, Health and Care Plans. I have helped secure high-cost specialist independent schools, special educational provision and social care provision for children and young people with special educational needs.
