As a Housing Paralegal based at the Duncan Lewis Birmingham office, my main role involves assisting my supervising Solicitor Amandeep Bains and Director Manjinder Kaur Atwal on a range of public and private housing matters, including dealing with homelessness, disrepair, eviction, possession and property ownership disputes.
I bring a strong academic background, having recently graduated with a Distinction in my Master of Laws Legal Practice (LPC LLM) and a First Class Bachelor of Laws (LLB) before that. Having undertaken pro bono volunteering at the University of Wolverhampton Legal Advice Centre, I have worked with vulnerable members of the public on a number of housing issues, such as disrepair and eviction, in order to provide free legal advice. Prior to joining Duncan Lewis, I took part in various legal work experience placements at Midlands-based firms.
Since coming onto the team, I have done extensive training to enhance my skills and understanding of housing matters. I ensure that every client receives the clear, quality advice that they deserve in line with the firm's motto of 'giving people a voice.'
