Profile / Experience
I am a Consultant Solicitor with over 20 years post qualification experience specialising in immigration and public law.
I have substantial experience of all areas of immigration and related public law including: entry clearance applications; applications for leave to remain (on family life grounds; for studies, outside the immigration rules); EEA applications; asylum, protection and human rights claims; appeals; administrative review; judicial review and civil claims for unlawful detention.
I represent clients in both privately and publicly funded matters and I deal with cases right through from initial advice and application to appeal proceedings in the First-tier and Upper Tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal. I am highly regarded in particular for my judicial review claimant work and for civil claims for unlawful detention. I am also very experienced in relation to nationality issues, especially concerning children.
I am an accredited Senior Caseworker and Supervisor under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation which means I have demonstrated the levels of expertise and knowledge in this area of law as desired by the Law Society. I am a volunteer adviser and trustee in the Project for the Registration of Children as British Citizens.
