I am a Director within the Family & Child Care department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. Although I am based in the Milton Keynes office, I am able to take on clients in the surrounding areas such as Luton, Northampton and up to Birmingham. I am a Chartered Legal Executive and assist clients with all aspects of family law, including children, divorce, financial and domestic abuse matters. I am a domestic abuse champion with the Reducing the Risk charity, and Resolution accredited in private children and domestic abuse.
I am empathetic and understanding of clients' circumstances and appreciate many clients are going through an extremely difficult time in their lives when they contact Duncan Lewis.
Approaching each case sensitively and without judgment, I seek to offer each client a supportive environment to discuss their case, whether in the office or online. I am passionate about being able to help clients from all backgrounds. I undertake cases in both private work and legal aid work, working to get public funding for clients where possible.
I undertake advocacy, which enables me to provide clients with a realistic understanding of the court process and what to expect.
I have been working in family law since 2009 and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2014. I became a Director in the Family & Child Care department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors in June 2023. I am also a member of Resolution, an organisation for family lawyers with a code of conduct, which states that matters should always be dealt with in a non-confrontational way. This to me is an important way to deal with a matter as there are often strong emotions at play when there is a breakdown in relations, such as in family disputes, and therefore it is important to remove stress from these situations not compound the difficulties.
