Profile / Experience
I am a Caseworker in the Public Law department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors, based in the firm's head office in Harrow. I work with a team of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers under the supervision of public law director Toufique Hossain.
My role involves day-to-day work on a number of public law cases, including asylum, immigration, and human rights matters.
Prior to joining Duncan Lewis, I spent nearly ten years in the not-for-profit sector, where my specialism was media and campaigning relating to human rights issues.
At the legal charity Reprieve, I provided media support to clients who experienced extreme human rights abuses from unlawful detention at Guantanamo Bay to torture and the death penalty. More recently, at the women’s rights organisation ActionAid, I campaigned for improved access to justice for survivors of gender-based violence, working directly with survivors and legal experts. Earlier in my career, I was a communications specialist at a UN body that supports Palestinian refugees throughout the Middle East. I have also worked in the private sector.
