I am a Director of the Child Care Department based at our Harrow office. I supervise a friendly and dedicated team of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers. Together we strive to provide an excellent and supportive service to our clients at what is probably the most stressful time in their lives.
My expertise extends to all aspects of family law relating to children and in particular public law (care) cases and secure accommodation. I am a member of the Law Society's Children Panel which means I have achieved a high level of competence and knowledge in the area of children law and the representation of children. I also have extensive experience in representing children through their guardian and via separate representation. I have acted for children of all ages and I am experienced in conducting visits to children. I also represent parents, extended family members and interveners, and have conducted cases on behalf of the official solicitor.
My public law cases have involved a wide range of issues including; physical, sexual and emotional abuse, neglect, factitious illness, non-accidental injury, drug and alcohol addiction, domestic abuse, learning difficulties, mental illness, psychological disorders and physical disability. In addition I have conducted numerous cases that involve an international element.

I am an experienced advocate and undertake the majority of my own hearings in order to provide a continuity of representation to my clients. I am experienced in chairing experts meetings.
I am a member of Resolution which is a Family Law Association for solicitors and are committed to resolving family matters fairly and amicably. I am also a member of NAGALRO, a professional association for social work practitioners who work in the children and families field and represent children in public and private court proceedings.
