Profile / Experience
I joined Duncan Lewis in November 2018 and am a Solicitor in the Business/Private Immigration department.
I have been conducting legal casework and representation in business/personal immigration, asylum, human rights and nationality law since 2014 and I qualified as a solicitor in February 2016. I have experience in assisting both privately paying and legally aided clients in the UK and overseas including European nationals. I also have experience in assisting more vulnerable individuals such as those in detention, victims of torture, victims of domestic violence and victims of trafficking.
I have vast experience of challenging Home Office decisions in appeals at the First-tier and Upper Tribunals of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber and the Court of Appeal and by way of judicial review. I have also dealt with matters that cross over with Children Act proceedings.
I am qualified under the Law Society Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Senior Caseworker, which means I have demonstrated the required level of competence and specialist knowledge in Immigration and Asylum law as defined by the Law Society.
