Profile / Experience
I joined Duncan Lewis in October 2018 as a Caseworker in the Public Law team. I currently focus on Court of Protection matters in the firm's Newcastle office.
Primarily my work is centered on clients who lack capacity under the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and helping in matters relating to their health and social care, property, and financial matters, along with section 21A proceedings which challenge Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS). My role involves drafting documents in relation to S21A proceedings and liaising with IMCAs, RPRs and the Official Solicitor.
At university, I undertook a lot of charity work and volunteering with the National Autistic Society and Legacare, as well as being a McKenzie Friend.
