Duncan Lewis Solicitors are pleased to announce that Senior Immigration Public Law Advisor Sarah Latimer has joined the firm's Cardiff Public Law team.
Sarah has over 12 years experience in the area of Immigration and Asylum Law having begun her career in the area in 2002 working for the Immigration Advisory Services in Cardiff covering Iraq, Sangatte, Burundi, and DRC and Article 8 Cases.
Sarah has specialism in Iraqi Asylum and Immigration cases leading to conducting Judicial Reviews to Iraq and Rule 39 cases where Judicial Review Cases have been unsuccessful. As a result of her expertise in these areas, Sarah was invited to speak before a National Independent Commission led by Lord Ramsbotham GCB CB in May 2012 on the issue of removals to Iraq.
In addition to this Sarah also bears speciality in Article 8 cases and has succeeded in many cases, often at second opportunity for clients whose first opportunity floundered.
Sarah holds personal interest in cases arising out of conflict in the Middle East and Occupied Territories. From this interest she has developed good knowledge of the mechanics of power struggles in the region and country background.
Sarah is also Interested in claims from minors and Immigration cases uniting children with parents and assisting elderly parents to live with their family members in the UK.
Sarah is a welcome addition to the Duncan Lewis Cardiff Immigration Public Law team and will be joining other Solicitors including; Vinita Templeton, Eleri Haf Davies, Munsoor Ahmed Chaudry and Christopher Simmonds.
