Ranked as Top-Tier firm by Legal 500 2016 Edition for its Immigration Human Rights practices in London and Cardiff, Duncan Lewis is pleased to announce the recent appointments of both Vinita Templeton and Bernadette Adusei as Directors of Immigration.
Vinita Templeton and Bernadette Adusei both specialise in immigration judicial review claimant matters, asylum, human rights and European community law from the company’s Cardiff and Lewisham London office respectively. In its 2015 and 2016 editions, the independent legal directory The Legal 500 also recognised Vinita as an elite “Leading Lawyer” in the field of asylum and immigration law for Wales. Legal 500 describes her as “Highly regarded”, “Committed to the plight of those most vulnerable”, “deeply committed to clients’ interests” and a “specialist in immigration judicial review claims”.

Duncan Lewis' Immigration and human rights team represent clients nationwide and holds exclusive legal aid contracts to represent vulnerable clients/ victim of torture or trafficking in asylum and immigration detention related matters. The department holds a niche practice representing judicial review immigration claimant cases before the High Court with a significant practice in Upper Tribunal and Court of Appeal appellant cases, unlawful immigration detention cases with high net claims for damages and challenging immigration removal cases; in particular, Dublin II third country removal cases. Duncan Lewis has lodged more immigration judicial review proceedings in 2015 than any other immigration legal team in the UK.
